With the MNDOT expansion of Highway 5, the Eden Prairie Fire Department had to expedite its move to a new 22,000 sf facility. BKV Group worked with the fire department and local community groups to arrive at a design solution sensitive to neighborhood concerns, stylistically compatible with the existing municipal campus and functional for the fire department. Apparatus areas were screened from public view, while administration and training functions step down the sloped site, orienting itself with city hall.
