Tennessee State University (TSU) is one of the 46 institutions governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents. TSU is a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) with current enrollment of nearly 8,000 students. Located on two campuses in Nashville, TSU is in the process of completing a master plan that will accommodate student growth to 12,000 students within the 5-10 year planning horizon. In the process of completing this work, BKV Group and its consultants have been responsible for analyzing the physical condition and suitability for education of all facilities, completing a campus-wide utilization analysis, programming new facilities and developing multiple schemes which explore the possible circulation system, building location and landscape developments necessary to serve current and future curriculum as well as enrollment growth.
