The Homer G. Phillips Senior Living Community renovation project gives St. Louis senior citizens a new housing alternative providing access to the first-rate services and facilities. The complex offers 220 one- and two-bedroom independent living luxury apartments for low and middle income seniors. Expansive community areas include a restaurant style dining room, gathering lounges with fireplaces, a beauty/barbershop, an exercise room, chapel, multi-purpose game room, library/computer lab, crafts and card room and media room. Each floor of the six-floor complex houses a laundry room and two trash chutes. Individual apartments have wall to wall carpet, oversized windows with cultured marble sills, hardwood cabinets, built-in appliances, central air with individual climate controls and window blinds.
